BİHLİMDER to organise exhibition for Palestine

Western Thrace Imam Hatip Graduates and Members Association (BİHLİMDER) is organising an exhibition titled "Palestine".

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Monday 5 February (Today) at 18:30 at the Cultural Centre of BİHLİMDER in Komotini.

All members of the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace are invited to the opening of the exhibition which will be open between 5-10 February.

The exhibition will be held between 5-10 February between 10:00-15:00 in the morning and 15:00 at
It will be open to visitors between 19:00-21:00.

Mehmet Emin Ahmet, President of BİHLİMDER, made the following statement to MİLLET newspaper about the Palestine exhibition

"Our exhibition on Palestine is an exhibition that we have created by collecting books, posters, films and similar materials we have in order to get to know Palestine a little more closely.

The exhibition will also include some small items symbolising Palestine.

Our aim with this exhibition is to draw attention to this genocide, this atrocity, which is carried out in front of the eyes of the world without distinguishing between children, children, women, elderly, schools, hospitals, mosques, churches, places of worship, and to raise awareness.

In terms of understanding and empathising with the Palestinian people, the people of Western Thrace, in this sense, this issue gains even more importance for us due to their own minority history with their own experiences.

It is an event that emerged from this idea. This exhibition is organised in order not to relax, not to show laziness, not to forget.

We would like to thank everyone who will contribute and visit.

We are especially pleased with the sensitivity shown by our young brothers and sisters.

We invite all Western Thrace Muslim Turkish people to visit our exhibition."
