Beloved figure of İskeçe Rasim Hint passes away

Rasim Hint, a former president of the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers Association (BTTÖB) and a former leader of the Xanthi Turkish Union, passed away on Wednesday (May 13th).
Rasim Hint, a retired teacher who has been teaching at the İskele Central Turkish Minority Primary School for many years, is one of the teachers who has been identified with the İskeçe Central Turkish Minority Primary School, has raised many students, has been the chairman and manager of minority organizations and is closely interested in the issues of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority. He succumbed to the relentless disease he had struggled for some time and passed away. It was learned that the teacher Rasim died on the afternoon of May 13 at his house in Asagi Mahallesi, Xanthi. Teacher Rasim Hint was 80 years old.
Teacher Rasim Hint was deported to Hebilköy and Keziren villages on the border of Bulgaria in Rhodope province, after the disagreement and debate he had with the inspector on the grounds that he identified the school he was working as "Turkish" when he was working in the Xanthi Central Turkish Minority Primary School. After teaching here for a while, he returned to Xanthi and continued his duty.
