Applications for the Youth Assembly of Komotini Municipality start

The first Youth Assembly of the Municipality of Komotini successfully completed its term of office and handed over the task to the newly elected Youth Assembly.

All young people between the ages of 16-30 can apply for candidature for the new Youth Assembly of the Municipality of Komotini.

Every interested young person can declare their candidacy by filling in the relevant application form published on the platform of the Centre for Youth and Volunteering (exagono) https://www.exagonokomotini.gr/dimotiko-symvoylio-newn/.

The platform for nomination applications will remain open until 22.00 on Wednesday 31 January 2024.

The Youth Assembly is an organised collective structure that aims to contribute to the participation of young people at local level, to be active and to broaden ideas.

The Youth Assembly operates under the auspices of the Municipality of Komotini and with the support and cooperation of the Centre for Youth and Volunteering (exagono) of the Municipality of Komotini.

The Youth Assembly is an informal institutional body that ensures continuous and meaningful connection and dialogue of young people with the municipality and communities and operates impartially, without being affiliated to any municipal group or ideology.

The Municipality of Komotini identifies the interests and problems of young people and mobilises them to solve them.
It mobilises young people and familiarises them with decision-making processes at local level.
Promotes productive dialogue and exchange of views.
Promotes the social contribution of young people through volunteering and creative use of their free time.

The Youth Assembly of the Municipality of Komotini enables young people to express themselves, form opinions, exchange views and contribute to the development of the local community at the local government level.
