Alexandroupolis: The district's primary disciplinary board acquitts the kindergarten teacher who locked 3-year-olds in a warehouse "to calm them down"

The request to the five-member body composed of two female judges and three municipal officials - a head of management of the municipality of Komotini and two elected officials of the municipality of Alexandroupolis - had submitted the mayor of Alexandroupolis, Yannis Zamboukis, when he received written complaints about the behavior of the kindergarten teacher.

According to Mr. Zamboukis the Disciplinary Board exonerated the kindergarten teacher, since the opinion by a majority of 3-2 was not to be put on potential leave and much more to proceed to the final termination, ie her dismissal. According to the mayor of Alexandroupolis the three who voted negatively were the three municipal employees who participate in this body. In contrast, the two judges in the Disciplinary, a Deputy Prosecutor and a Judge of the State Legal Council, gave a positive opinion to be put on potential leave accepting the reasons cited by the mayor of Alexandroupolis. After this development, the mayor of Alexandroupolis will proceed to a new request to judge the case in the Secondary Disciplinary Council.
