Aid to 1,800 people from the Municipality of Komotini
Komotini Municipality delivered aid to 1,800 people in three days in December. Municipality teams distributed food products and cleaning materials as part of the TEBA-FEAD program.
The Municipality of Komotini delivered food products and cleaning materials to the eligible citizens between 13 -15 December within the scope of the Food and Basic Material Aid Operational Program for the European Aid Fund (TEBA / FEAD).
In the statement made by the Municipality of Komotini, it was stated that 5 bags of food products and cleaning materials were distributed to a total of 1,800 beneficiaries in three days.
In addition, aid bags to 55 elderly citizens were taken to their homes by municipal officials.
In the process of distribution of aid, all the prescribed health measures were observed by the Municipality of Komotini as well as the beneficiaries.
Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs and Solidarity, Yannis Murtidis, followed the process of distribution of products to eligible citizens for three days.
On the last day of the distribution, the Mayor of Komotini, Yannis Garanis, went to the distribution site and met with the municipality employees who serve in the distribution of the products, and closely examined the works.
The Multi-Purpose Cultural Center building served as the center of the distribution of aid of the Municipality of Komotini, the authorities of the Roma Branch of Komotini Municipality, the employees of the "Help at Home" program and the staff of the Social Services Unit of the Municipality of Komotini also contributed to the preparation and delivery of food products and cleaning materials in bags.
