Adem Bekiroğlu sent off to eternity

Lawyer Adem Bekiroğlu, one of the founders and former presidents of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association, was bid farewell to his last journey on Friday, April 7th.
After the Holy Quran read in Adem Bekiroğlu's house in Komotini, Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif made a short speech. Mufti Şerif, summarizing the life story of Adem Bekiroğlu, stated that Adem Bekiroğlu is one of the “fathers” of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority's struggle for rights and that he has always been at the forefront of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority's struggle for their rights.
The body of Adem Bekiroğlu was later taken from his house to the Komotini Kahveci Cemetery. After the funeral and prayer performed here, Bekiroğlu was buried.
Attorney Adem Bekiroğlu's funeral was attended by Adnan Öztürk, representing Türkiye's Consulate General in Komotini and consulate general staff, Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Mufti of Komotini, İbrahim Şerif, former deputies, former and current mayors, politicians and many cognates.
