ABTTF President Habip Oğlu: All of us to the polls, our vote for FEP Party!

Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF) President Halit Habip Oğlu issued a written statement on the European Parliament elections to be held on Sunday 9 June.
ABTTF President Halit Habip Oğlu said in his statement: "In our country Greece, we will go to the polls for EP elections on Sunday, 9 June. We will also go to the polls and we will support our FEP Party participating in the EP elections for the third time."
Habip Oğlu stated the following in his statement:
"In the last EP elections held in May 2019, the FEP Party painted Rhodope and Xanthi in its own colours and emerged as the first party in these two provinces. In these elections, just like five years ago, everyone will feel our presence and hear our problems. Unfortunately, as in the past, today we hear discourses that exclude and marginalise us. There will again be those who accuse us of separatism because we are Turks, because we say we are Turks. However, all we have done for years is to struggle to obtain the status, rights and freedoms we have. During this time, we have never betrayed our country and we never will. Because this is our country. However, if there is something wrong in our country, it is a requirement of democracy to say so and demand what is rightfully ours. We are not the only ones who say that something is wrong in our country. At the international level, the European Union and the Council of Europe also state in their reports that democracy and the rule of law are under serious threat. The biggest tool against the deterioration of the situation in our country is undoubtedly the ballot box! Yes, if we want change, we should go to the polls on 9 June and cast our vote. Our people living abroad will also add strength to our strength if they bring their annual leave forward this year and participate in the elections. We all go to the ballot box, we vote for the FEP Party!"
