A Chinese Delegation visited the Democritus University of Thrace
On Friday, March 10, 2023, the President and CEO of Beijing Yinggeli Educational Technology Co., Ltd. China (YGL), Mr. Liu Jiting, and Mr. Shen Rong, paid a visit to the Democritus University of Thrace.
The YGL representatives were welcomed by Rector Professor Fotios Maris and Professor Maria Michalopoulou, member of the Board of Directors of the University.
YGL aims to promote educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign universities at all levels.
The educational and research work of the university was presented to the Chinese representatives who were accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Rhodopi Evripides Stylianides, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece and former Minister of Education. It is said that their interest was focused on studies and research related to the sciences of Engineering and Sports as well as on the international ranking of the Departments of the university by subject area.
The representatives of YGL proposed the promotion of the cooperation of Democritus University with Chinese universities in order to have the opportunity to jointly submit applications within the framework of the approved Greek-Chinese cooperation, as well as for the development of joint curricula, joint supervision of doctoral theses, scientific and research cooperation, and teacher training.
They also expressed hopes for future cooperation between Thrace Domocritus University and Chinese universities.
