38-year-old man arrested for drug possession on Semadirek Island

Following intelligence gathering and discreet surveillance, a search was conducted in Semadirek.
A 38-year-old Greek national was arrested on the morning of Monday, July 21, by officers from the Security Office of the Semadirek Port Authority for violating Greek drug laws, specifically Law 4139/2013 on addictive substances and Article 1, paragraph 2 of Law 3459/2006, the Drug Law Code.
Following intelligence gathering and discreet surveillance, a search was conducted in the Griá Vártha area of Therma, Samothraki. The man was found in possession of a backpack containing:
- Three plastic bags with eight LSD-impregnated blotter papers,
- Two plastic bags containing an unknown brown chemical substance weighing a total of 18.1 grams,
- One plastic bag with two homemade capsules containing unidentified plant-based material weighing 1 gram,
- One transparent bag with an unknown white powdery substance weighing 335 grams,
- Another transparent bag containing a white-pink powder of unknown chemical composition weighing 475 grams,
- €2,460 in cash,
- One mobile phone.
The A' Port Department of Samothraki, under the Central Port Authority of Alexandroupolis, is handling the preliminary investigation. All items were seized, and the substances will be sent to the Chemical Service of Central Macedonia – Selanik for further analysis.
