28-year-old killed in head-on collision on New Peramos–Mirahor provincial road

A 28-year-old man lost his life and a 30-year-old driver was injured in a serious road accident on Saturday afternoon, September 20, 2025, on the provincial road connecting New Peramos and Mirahor (Elefthero).
According to police, the car driven by the 30-year-old Greek man, with the 28-year-old passenger on board, collided head-on with another vehicle driven by a 62-year-old woman. Following the impact, the car veered off course, crashing into a utility pole and a parked motorcycle, causing material damage.
Emergency services rushed both men to Kavala General Hospital, where the passenger was pronounced dead. The driver sustained injuries but survived.
An investigation into the circumstances and causes of the fatal accident is being carried out by the Peramos Police Station.
