The introduction of visa application at the door from Türkiye to Greek islands has led to an increase in mobility in tourism. The new application also mobilised the ferry services between Ayvalık district of Balıkesir and Lesvos Island of Greece during the Ramadan Feast holiday.
According to AA, Turkish tourists, who want to spend their holidays in Lesvos, wait for their turn at the Ayvalık Sea Border Gate and depart to the island by ferry after having their procedures done. Due to the intensity, queues are formed in front of the border gate from time to time. It is reported that due to the Eid holiday, there is also a density at the Ipsala - Kipi customs gate opening from Türkiye to Greece.
