DCT Trading, owned by Western Thracian businessman Levent Sadık Ahmet, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Norm Technologies, a company specializing in defense industry innovations.

Following its public offering, DCT Trading has accelerated its strategic growth goals and is now collaborating with Norm Technologies, a manufacturer of high-value-added defense products, including Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) protective systems and ballistic protective equipment. DCT Trading will actively participate in the production, supply, and marketing processes of these products, leveraging its extensive experience in the cotton and textile sectors.

A Shared Vision for High-Value-Added Products
Norm Technologies is known for its expertise in the defense sector, particularly in the domestic production of protective systems against CBRN threats and ballistic protective products. The company manufactures fire-resistant carbon fabric suits that withstand temperatures above 800°C, ballistic vests, mine detection suits, bomb disposal suits, CBRN protective undergarments, boots, and gloves. Additionally, it produces light and heavy weapon ammunition, including MK Series Thermobaric aircraft bombs.

DCT Trading’s involvement in this partnership will focus on securing high-quality cotton, essential for fabric-based protective equipment. Notably, nitrocellulose, a key component of smokeless gunpowder, is derived from cotton, and this partnership aims to facilitate the local production of smokeless gunpowder. The collaboration is also expected to expand into various defense industry projects, including the supply of ammunition and its components.

With over 20 years of experience in global marketing and sales, DCT Trading will play a crucial role in introducing Norm Technologies' products to international markets, particularly in Europe. This partnership aims to promote sustainable, high-value defense solutions worldwide.

Statements from Key Figures
DCT Trading Chairman Levent Sadık Ahmet highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating:

"Our partnership with Norm Technologies once again demonstrates DCT Trading’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. We will begin by supplying raw materials and semi-finished products for the defense sector and later support the global expansion of Norm Technologies' cutting-edge, environmentally conscious, and high-value products. This partnership will significantly contribute to diversifying our product range and industry presence in line with our strategic growth objectives."

Norm Technologies Chairman Celal Öğütoğulları also emphasized the strategic significance of the agreement:

"Cotton is a crucial raw material for producing our locally manufactured CBRN protective products, activated carbon fabric, and ballistic vests. By combining DCT Trading’s supply chain expertise with Norm Technologies’ technological capabilities, we will create a new synergy in strategic product manufacturing. Our primary goal is to strengthen our presence in international markets through this collaboration."

Two Strong Brands, One Common Mission
By joining forces, DCT Trading and Norm Technologies aim to elevate quality and innovation standards in the defense industry. This partnership not only enhances both companies' market influence but also underscores their commitment to environmental and social responsibility, reinforcing the value of collaboration for a sustainable future.
