Angelos Chasiotis named new head coach of AOX
AOX (Athletic Club of Xanthi) has officially appointed Angelos Chasiotis as the new head coach of the team, according to an announcement released by the club’s Board of Directors.
Born on November 5, 1991, Chasiotis is a graduate of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science (TEFAA) with a specialization in football coaching. He also holds scouting certifications from INSA and IPSO, and currently works part-time as a scout for English club Nottingham Forest, bringing valuable international experience to the club.
Chasiotis began his football journey in the youth academy of AOX, where he captained the team for three consecutive seasons. He later played in the Greek fourth and third divisions before transitioning into coaching.
With over 12 years of coaching experience, Chasiotis has worked across youth and senior squads, most notably with Iraklis Zygou, where he played a pivotal role in developing local talent. His approach emphasizes creative and attacking football, rooted in teamwork, collaboration, and building player confidence.
AOX’s decision to appoint Chasiotis reflects a commitment to nurturing talent from within and investing in long-term development.
The club welcomed him back to Xanthi, expressing confidence in his vision and leadership for the upcoming season.
