The National Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued an emergency bulletin warning of heavy rain and storms in various parts of the country that will last until late Tuesday.
The National Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued an emergency bulletin warning of heavy rain and storms in various parts of the country that will last until late Tuesday.
The west and north of the country will be mainly affected, starting from noon. The rain and storms will be accompanied by lightning and localized hail.
The bad weather will hit Corfu, Paxos and Epirus first before moving from early afternoon to the rest of the Ionian islands, western central Greece, western Macedonia and the northwestern Peloponnese. Central Macedonia will be affected from late afternoon.
While the bad weather will clear in most areas by this evening, it may continue in Thessaly and possibly northern Evia for a few hours after that.
