Traffic restrictions will be in effect in central Athens on Monday and Tuesday due to the student and military parades being held to celebrate Greece’s Independence Day.

According to an announcement from STASY, the “Syntagma” Metro station will be closed on both days from 8:00 a.m. until the end of the parades.

On Tuesday, Tram Line 7 routes will operate only up to the “SEF” stop from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and up to the “P. Dimarcheio” stop from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Moreover, traffic police have also announced road closures and parking restrictions for both Monday and Tuesday.
