The new bridge project on the Turkish-Greek border will be ready in a year

Construction of the bridge will begin next year.

During his visit to the Kipi border gate, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yorgos Karayannis said that the project for the construction of the new bridge will be ready within 12 months. Minister Karayanis announced that the construction works of the foam will start within a year.

Karayannis, who visited the Kipi border crossing with Egnatia Inc.  Manager Konstantinos Kucukos and Deputy Head of State responsible for Evros Province, Dimitris Petrovic, stated that they are happy that a project that has been delayed for many years has now reached the final stage.

He said that, "We will be ready in 12 months to start the construction of this project, which is extremely important for both the region and our country,"

Karayannis added that the project that will connect the train line to Alexandroupolis Port is also at the tender stage.
