Snow chain requirement introduced for vehicles

In the regions of Kavala and Thasos, all vehicle categories are now required to be equipped with snow chains or similar anti-slip devices on mountainous and semi-mountainous roads above 200 meters.
In the regions of Kavala and Thasos, all vehicle categories are now required to be equipped with snow chains or similar anti-slip devices on mountainous and semi-mountainous roads above 200 meters.
This measure, introduced due to adverse weather conditions, will come into effect on Sunday, January 12, at 2:00 PM and remain in place until further notice based on weather forecasts.
Vehicles equipped with snow tires are exempt from this requirement. Drivers found without snow chains or snow tires will face penalties.
