Traffic resumes at Türkiye–Greece border crossings after customs strike ends
The strike, which began earlier in the day, suspended vehicle crossings through the Pazarkule and İpsala border gates connecting Türkiye and Greece.
Drivers, many of them members of the Turkish diaspora traveling back to Europe after spending their holidays in Türkiye, were redirected to the Kapıkule border crossing on the Bulgarian border while the disruption was in effect.
Several travelers said they had planned to enter Greece via Pazarkule but were informed of the strike upon arrival and instructed to continue their journey through Kapıkule instead.
Greek customs officers ended the strike around midday, allowing vehicle traffic through the Pazarkule and İpsala border crossings to resume normal operations.
The temporary disruption affected outbound traffic from Türkiye but was resolved within the same day.
