Proposals for the “SMARTIES for SMEs” project open until January 25th – Informational event at the Chamber of Commerce of Xanthi

The Chamber of Commerce of Xanthi, as part of the implementation of the "SMARTIES for SMEs" project under the COSME program, is organizing an informational event titled: “Ensuring Long-Term Sustainability for the Region Based on the Triptych of Regenerative Tourism – Cultural Routes – Mediterranean Diet”. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 19:00 in the Chamber’s conference room.

The project focuses on providing economic and technical support for innovative projects by very small and small-medium enterprises in Mediterranean regions. In Greece, 15 of the most creative projects will be selected and funded with a one-time amount of €25,000. Each selected project will receive free consulting and personalized support from experts during the implementation phase, which is expected to last around 15 months, starting in March 2025. Additionally, the projects will join an international network of tourism innovation entities and have the opportunity to participate in networking events in Paphos, Cyprus, and Rome, Italy.

The ongoing call for proposals aims to select projects that are creative, emphasize service quality, have high potential for innovation, long-term sustainability, and replicability in the tourism sector. Companies submitting proposals must be small or medium-sized enterprises operating in any sector, provided their activities are related to the tourism ecosystem and contribute value to it.
