Panel on Balkans and the Turkish heritage of Rhodes and Kos to be held in İzmir

A panel discussing the cultural heritage of Turks in the Balkans, Rhodes (Rodos), and Kos (İstanköy) is set to take place in İzmir on Thursday, April 17. The event, titled “Ancient Turkish Homeland: The Balkans and the Turkish Culture of Rhodes–Kos,” will be held at the Sancar Maruflu Civil Society Campus in Bahçelievler, organized with the support of Karşıyaka Municipality.
ORGANIZED THROUGH COMMUNITY COLLABORATION
The panel is being jointly organized by the Association for the Culture and Solidarity of Turks of Rhodes, Kos and the Dodecanese, the Association for Strategic Development and Cooperation, and the İzmir branch of the Western Thrace Turkish Solidarity Association. The event will begin at 14:00 and is open to the general public.
ACADEMICS TO SHARE HISTORICAL INSIGHTS
Speakers include Prof. Dr. Turgut Tok and Dr. İsmail Kurt from Pamukkale University. The session will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kaymaçı. Organizers have extended an open invitation to all interested individuals to attend the event and take part in the discussions surrounding the history and cultural legacy of the Turkish communities in the Balkans and the Dodecanese islands.
