Ambassador Erciyes celebrates Eid al-Adha with Turkish Community in Rhodes and Kos

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Athens, Çağatay Erciyes, visited the Turkish communities in Rhodes (Rodos) and Kos (İstanköy) during the Eid al-Adha holiday, engaging in celebrations and attending anniversary events organized by local cultural associations.
Accompanied by Rhodes Consul General Salim Kırcalıali, Ambassador Erciyes took part in various Eid greeting ceremonies and joined events marking the 25th anniversary of Turkish minority associations in both islands.
The visits included participation in cultural activities, such as traditional folk dance performances by local youth, which drew significant interest from the community.
A post shared on the official social media account of the Turkish Consulate in Rhodes stated:
“Together with our Ambassador Çağatay Erciyes, we celebrated Eid with our compatriots in Rhodes and marked the 25th anniversary of the Rhodes Muslim Education, Culture and Brotherhood Association.”
A similarly enthusiastic atmosphere was noted during the Kos program. There, Ambassador Erciyes joined in the celebration of the anniversary of the Kos Muslims’ Culture and Brotherhood Association, as well as Eid festivities with community members.
As part of the visit, Ambassador Erciyes and Consul General Kırcalıali also held official meetings with South Aegean Deputy Regional Governor Apostolos Asprakis and Mayor of Rhodes Aleksandros Koliadis.
