An earthquake registering 3 on the Richter scale took place off Crete's eastern coast at 10:29.
An earthquake registering 3 on the Richter scale took place off Crete's eastern coast at 10:29, the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens National Observatory said on Sunday. It was the third in the region since early in the morning, and had a focal depth of 10 km.
According to AMNA at 02:15, an earthquake registering 4.2 on the Richter scale was also registered in the sea east of Crete and 28 km south of Karpathos island.
At 10:02, an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale was registered near eastern Crete. Its epictenter was 24 km east-northeast of Zakros on Crete and 89.5 km southwest of Karpathos. It had a focal depth estimated at 10 km.
