The Ministry of Education has announced a nationwide ban on mobile phone use in schools for the upcoming academic year. This new policy aims to improve student performance and enhance discipline within educational institutions.
Under the new regulations, students will be strictly prohibited from using their mobile phones during school hours. Additionally, they will be encouraged not to bring their phones into classrooms outside of school hours.
As part of the implementation, students will be required to switch off their phones and store them in locked lockers or their bags upon entering the school. Failure to comply may result in the confiscation of the devices by school authorities.
The new rules will also apply to teachers and school staff, who will only be permitted to use their phones in cases of emergency.
