Maria Syrengela resigns as New Democracy political committee secretary

Maria Syrengela, the Secretary of the Political Committee of Greece’s ruling New Democracy (ND) party, has officially resigned from her post, citing personal reasons. In a public statement on Saturday, she said, "There are some moments when you have to weigh things and make difficult decisions. This is one of them." She added that she informed Prime Minister and ND leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis of her decision the day before.

Syrengela expressed gratitude to the prime minister for his trust during her tenure, but did not elaborate further on the personal circumstances prompting her departure.
