A 38-year-old man from Agrinio was hospitalized in Athens after swallowing a fishhook concealed in an octopus he ate.
A 38-year-old man from Agrinio was hospitalized in Athens after swallowing a fishhook concealed in an octopus he ate.
The man suffered an esophageal injury and was transported to the General Hospital of Athens “Georgios Gennimatas.”
Initially, he was to be taken to the University Hospital of Rio, but doctors determined his condition required specialized care in Athens.
Medical staff are evaluating his condition.
