Woman plunges twice from balcony; Husband arrested

Authorities have arrested the woman’s 29-year-old husband on suspicion of domestic abuse, as investigators explore multiple scenarios surrounding the dramatic incident.

Two falls in minutes

Initial reports indicate the woman, of Ukrainian descent, first fell from the shared apartment balcony, landing on a lower balcony on the third floor. The fall was partially cushioned by an awning, allowing her to survive the initial impact. Remarkably, she returned to the apartment despite the shock and injuries.

Moments later, she went out onto the rear balcony and fell a second time to the ground level. This fall caused severe trauma, leaving her in critical condition.

Hospitalization and husband arrest

The woman was immediately hospitalized and underwent surgery. Her husband, of Russian origin, who was present in the apartment during the incidents, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. Authorities noted that he had called a private ambulance after the first fall, prior to the second incident.

Ongoing investigation

Police are treating the case as highly complex. Investigators are examining all possible angles, including attempted suicide and potential criminal involvement. A 65-year-old resident, on whose balcony the woman first landed, was also questioned by authorities.

The investigation remains ongoing, with many questions yet to be answered.
