Bulgarian firefighters arrived in Greece yesterday, Sunday, June 30, from Promahonas, in order to assist in fighting the fires under the Pre-positioning Firefighters Programme (Pre-positioning GFFF-V Bulgaria), which is being implemented for the third time in Greece through the European Civil Protection Mechanism.
According to the ERT report, the mission of the Bulgarian firefighters consists of two water trucks, three auxiliary vehicles and 20 Bulgarian firefighters who arrived to reinforce the efforts of the Greek firefighters.
The replacement of the personnel will follow on July 15, while the Bulgarian module is scheduled to leave at the end of July.
