High temperatures across Greece to persist through Monday

High temperatures will persist across the country on Monday, with levels more typical of midsummer than early June.
On the mainland, temperatures are expected to rise to 35–36°C, with some areas possibly reaching 37°C. In the island regions, highs will range between 31 and 35°C.
Despite the heat, scattered clouds are likely during the midday and afternoon, particularly over the mountainous mainland, where localized rains may occur.
With the persistent high temperatures, residents are advised to take appropriate heat safety precautions.
