Extreme risk of fire for two Greek regions on Saturday; very high risk of fire for 7 regions
Extreme risk of fire-state of alert (risk category 5) is s predicted on Saturday in two regions of Greece and very high risk of fire (risk category 4) in seven Greek regions, according to the Fire Risk Forecast Map issued by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection (civilprotection.gov.gr).
In particular extreme risk of fire is predicted on Saturday for the following areas:
-Attica
-Peloponnese and in the regional units of Viotia and Evia
Very high fire risk is predicted on Saturday for the following areas:
- Region of Ionian Islands
- Region of Western Greece
- Ionian Islands (regional unit of Zakynthos)
- Region of Central Greece (regional units of Fthiotida and Fokida)
- Region of Thessaly (regional unit of Magnesia)
- Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (Rodop and Meriç (Evros)
- Region of North Aegean (Lesvos, Chios, Samos, Ikaria)
- Region of Crete.
