“Friendship Rebound” wheelchair basketball tournament held in Kavala
The 3rd International Wheelchair Basketball Tournament “Friendship Rebound” was successfully held in Kavala from September 15 to 19, under the motto “Sport knows no barriers.”
Teams from Greece, Germany, and Bulgaria participated in the event, which was organized by Kavala Sports Club with the support of the Hellenic Wheelchair Basketball Federation (OSEKA) and the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
Stelios Ignatiadis, Regional Advisor for Sports and Employment, emphasized the importance of the initiative: “The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace supports sports for all by promoting accessibility and social participation. Together, we are breaking stereotypes and building a fairer society.”
In the final, held on Thursday, September 18, Komotini’s “Irodikos” team claimed victory after a thrilling match.
