Çetin Mandacı, who works in Kos State Hospital, held a sit-in in the hospital garden in order to draw attention to the deficiencies and negativities in the hospital.

Former Xanthi MP and cardiologist Çetin Mandacı staged a sit-in in front of the hospital on Friday 23 June in order to draw attention to the conditions in Kos hospital and to demand help.

Dr Mandacı tried to draw attention to the problems in the garden of the hospital with the Greek banner "I have reached my border, I want help".

Dr Çetin Mandacı spoke to the local press on the island and explained the purpose of the action. Mandacı stated that the conditions of the hospital are far from what they should be and that he has been on duty 25 days a month for eight months. Mandacı stated that he was the only doctor working in the Cardiology Department of the hospital and mentioned the existence of "groupings".

Mandacı noted that some doctors, nurses and managers were almost grouping within the hospital. Çetin Mandacı stated that although he warned the hospital administration, they were indifferent to the problems and said that he organised the sit-in in order to draw attention to the problems and to find solutions.

The video of Mandacı's sit-in in Greek was published on the rodiaki.gr website.
