Farmers' protests intensify across Greece
Farmers in Greece are escalating their protests, using tractors to strengthen blockades and amplify their demands in various regions of the country.
From Central Macedonia to Karditsa, Larissa, and Crete, farmers are calling for solutions to long-standing issues.
In Thessaly, farmers held a meeting on January 27 and decided to intensify their actions. Protests in Karditsa at the E65 highway are drawing farmers from rural areas to urban centers, where they plan to demonstrate with their tractors. Tractor-led protests are scheduled for January 29 in Karditsa and January 31 in Larissa.
In Thessaloniki, farmers aim to escalate their efforts by organizing demonstrations on the Thessaloniki-Athens highway ahead of the Zootechnia Fair.
By January 30, farmers from other regions, including Imathia, Kilkis, Halkidiki, Messinia, Atalanti, Agrinio, Ilia, Chania, Evia, and Ioannina, are expected to join the protests, expanding the movement nationwide.
