Farmers continue to block roads

Greek farmers, who have been protesting across the country for about 4 weeks, have started to block roads in recent days.
The farmers who blocked the Nea Mudanya road near Thessaloniki today were supported by livestock breeders.
On Friday, February 9th, farmers also staged a road blockage at the border with North Macedonia, blocking the border with trucks.
During the protest, trucks formed long queues near the border.
Next week, farmers plan to demonstrate with tractors in Syntagma Square in the capital Athens, where the parliament building is located.
The farmers, who have been organizing demonstrations for about 4 weeks, have been demanding compensation for their damaged crops, a reduction in electricity tariffs, feed and material purchase support for animal breeders.
