Falakro Mountain covered in white: Ski center opens to the public
Falakro Mountain in the region of Drama has been blanketed in snow, marking the official start of the winter season, as the Falakro Ski Center opened its doors to the public on Christmas Day, Thursday, 25 December 2025.
According to an announcement by the management of the Falakro Ski Center, favorable weather conditions and sufficient snowfall made it possible for the resort to begin operations. Skiers and winter sports enthusiasts now have the opportunity to enjoy their favorite activities on one of Northern Greece’s most impressive mountains.
Falakro is renowned for its long ski runs, alpine landscape, and easy access, making it a popular destination each year for visitors from across Macedonia and Thrace, as well as from neighboring Bulgaria.
With Falakro dressed in its festive winter colors, the new season has begun dynamically, inviting visitors of all ages to enjoy snow, nature, and winter getaways.
