Banks to be closed again for 6 days

Due to the transfer of the Orthodox Easter and the 1 May holiday, banks will remain closed for six days, which will cause new troubles for customers.

In particular, due to the Easter celebrations and the transfer of the May Day holiday, debit payments and remittances to be recorded from Thursday 2 May will be carried out on Wednesday 8 May, which is considered the next working day.

Transfers at banks will work as normal, but there will be a value date on Wednesday 8 May. With regard to the execution of payrolls, Wednesday 8 May should be entered in the payroll file as the execution date.

Future and future orders with an execution date of Tuesday, 7 May will be executed on Wednesday, 8 May. In addition, the Athens Stock Exchange will remain closed on Friday 3 May, Monday 6 May and Tuesday 7 May.
