The event, hosted by Ambassador Çağatay Erciyes, included embassy and consulate staff, military personnel, representatives from Turkish organizations in Athens, and Turkish citizens.

Following a moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish National Anthem, Ambassador Erciyes delivered a speech highlighting Atatürk as a visionary leader and revolutionary who led the first successful fight against colonialism and imperialism. He emphasized that Atatürk's influence extended beyond Turkey, inspiring independence movements worldwide.

Erciyes noted Atatürk's dedication to establishing and strengthening the Republic of Türkiye under challenging circumstances, aiming for modernization and advancement. He concluded by urging everyone to continue safeguarding and developing the Republic with the same determination as when it was founded, a source of pride for all Turkish citizens today.
