"Ammunition" seized in Florina

Police seized a large number of long-barreled weapons, grenades and ammunition during a raid in a house in Florina, West Macedonia.
According to the news published in Kathimerini newspaper, on Monday 29 January, Florina Police Department Anti-Terrorism teams raided a suspicious house.
During the house raid, police seized 11 grenades, 72 kilos of gunpowder, 95 ammunition magazines, 35,000 rounds of ammunition, 29 long-barreled weapons and a large number of materials used in making homemade explosives and bombs.
A 54-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman were arrested at the scene. Weapons, bombs and the entire arsenal were confiscated.
The couple, who were arrested in an operation supported by the Thessaloniki Anti-Terrorism teams and the State Security Department, were referred to the prosecutor's office.
