A well-known Greek actor in jail for migrant trafficking
The actor's lawyer, Dimitris Georgakopoulos, spoke to "You haven't seen anything yet" about the case.
The actor was arrested in December 2023, when five illegal immigrants were found in his car, in which he had boarded a ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus.
The migrants were spotted as a crew member saw the car's windows fogged up.
The actor was arrested and convicted of migrant trafficking. His lawyer, Dimitris Georgakopoulos, spoke to the show "Still You Haven't Seen Anything".
"It's an unusual situation. There has never been a person involved like this before. Greek defendants in these cases are rare, let alone such a man. He has repented while he did it. It was not financial necessity that led him there. He hasn't told me much. He told me that he was under some pressure but I haven't been able to find out yet."
