"A Fairer World is Possible" panel held in Greece

The "Stratcom Public Forum: A Fairer World is Possible" panel was organized in Athens by the Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications and the Turkish Embassy in Athens.
The event began with a video message from Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun. Turkish Ambassador to Greece Çağatay Erciyes highlighted global crises such as pandemics, climate change, conflicts, terrorism, and economic inequality, emphasizing the necessity of international cooperation. He stressed that the current UN Security Council structure does not reflect today's geopolitical and economic realities, advocating for reform to make it more democratic, representative, transparent, and accountable.
Moderated by Dr. Esra Özsüer, the panel featured discussions on global justice and UN reforms. Experts, including Prof. Dr. Zuhal Mert Uzuner, Prof. Dr. Dimitris Triandafilu, Dr. Yorgos Cogopulos, and Dr. Spiros Kaçulas, debated the complexities of fairness in global governance and the challenges of reforming the UN. They acknowledged widespread agreement on the need for reform but differing views on its implementation.
The event also featured a documentary on Turkish artist Devrim Erbil and a "Century of Türkiye" photo exhibition.
