30% discount on airline tickets for newly appointed teachers

Newly appointed teachers in Greece will now be able to travel to their assigned posts with cheaper air tickets, thanks to a new collaboration between the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and SKY Express.

For the first time, a 30% discount on domestic flight fares has been secured for newly appointed primary and secondary school teachers hired on August 19, 2025, in order to facilitate their relocation.

Key Details of the Offer:

• Valid exclusively for newly appointed teachers (school year 2025–2026).
• Discount applies to the ticket fare only (excludes taxes).
• Maximum use of discount code: up to 2 times.
• Codes are personal and non-transferable.
• Eligible for domestic flights, both one-way and return.
• Booking period: until September 15, 2026.
• Travel period: August 27, 2025 – June 15, 2026.
• Codes must be entered at checkout in the “discount coupon” field exclusively on skyexpress.com.
• Visible discounted prices already include the offer (detailed discount shown under “Flight Information”).
• Ticket changes incur charges depending on fare class; fares are non-refundable in case of cancellation.
• Incorrect submission of proof of appointment (FEK) may lead to booking cancellation.
• The personalized discount code will be sent directly to the email address provided by each eligible teacher during registration.

Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zacharaki, expressed her gratitude to SKY Express for responding positively and swiftly to the request, underlining that easing the transition of newly appointed teachers is a minimum recognition of their vital role, especially in regions with greater demands.
