Threatening emails involving bomb threats directed at airports in Greece were discovered to have been sent by a 12-year-old child living in Southern Cyprus.

Investigations conducted through a collaboration between Greek and Cypriot police revealed that the source of the messages originated in Cyprus. Authorities identified the sender as a child residing in Cyprus with their family.

During an operation at the child’s home, police confiscated electronic devices, including a mobile phone, computer, modem, and tablet. However, no information has been shared yet regarding the child’s future legal status or the actions to be taken.
