A survey conducted by the Greek eCommerce Association (GR.EC.A) and the Electronic Commerce Laboratory (ELTRUN), under the auspices of eQuality NGO, highlights the further maturation of e-commerce in Greece, with consumers maintaining strong digital activity and steadily integrating online shopping into their daily lives.

The survey, the results of which were presented during a special event on Wednesday, was conducted through an online questionnaire among a sample of 600 Greek consumers who make purchases via the internet.

More specifically, 77.6% stated that they purchase products or services online "frequently" or "very frequently", a figure slightly higher compared to 2025.

The main drivers supporting online shopping continue to be time savings and better prices. A total of 75.4% agree that online shopping allows them more time for other activities, while 74.2% believe they achieve better prices. At the same time, the speed of online purchases is viewed positively by 64.2% of respondents.

Among the most popular online shopping categories are clothing and footwear at 75.7%, accommodation bookings at 73.3%, travel services at 68.5%, online food delivery orders at 64.5%, tickets for events and concerts at 62.7%, and personal care products at 58.9%.

Monthly spending remains concentrated mainly at up to 500 euros; however, the percentage of consumers spending more than 500 euros per month on online purchases is increasing.
