Rising prices and job creation dominate the concerns of young Greeks, according to a new Eurobarometer survey. Among respondents aged 16-30, 43% in Greece cited the economy and employment as top priorities, while 42% focused on inflation and the cost of living.
Social protection, welfare and healthcare ranked third (32%), followed by environmental and climate issues (28%). Notably, defense and security were of less concern to Greek youth (14%), in contrast to higher interest in Eastern Europe.
Social media emerged as the leading news source for young Greeks (48%), with online news platforms (34%) and video platforms like YouTube (31%) also popular. Further, 83% of Greek youth reported frequent exposure to misinformation.
