EU approves Greece’s €2.44B recovery fund payment
The Commission confirmed that Greece successfully met all 32 milestones and seven targets tied to the disbursement. The reforms and investments cover key sectors including healthcare, education, public administration, and taxation.
Greece submitted the request on July 18, 2025. The payment will proceed after a positive opinion from the Economic and Financial Committee and a formal Commission decision.
With this installment, Greece will have received €23.45 billion of its total €35.95 billion allocation under the RRF — approximately 65% of the plan’s total value. This includes €3.96 billion in pre-financing from 2021 and €159 million under REPowerEU in 2024.
So far, 48% of Greece’s milestones and targets under the recovery plan have been fulfilled.
