Western Balkans in the frame of Foreign Affairs Council on Monday
European Union enlargement in the western Balkans will be one of the key topics on the agenda of a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg on Monday, as foreign ministers discuss the recent flareup of tensions in parts of the region and any progress made by Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia in meeting the terms of their EU accession bids.
An accession conference with Albania will also take place on the same day, opening negotiations on reforms related to the internal market.
The Foreign Affairs Council, chaired by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, will further address EU support for Ukraine and developments in the Middle East, followed by the first ever EU-Palestinian Authority High Level Dialogue.
