Hakan Fidan meets with Turkish Community in North Macedonia

On the first day of his visit, Fidan held talks with North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani in the capital, Skopje. Discussions focused on strengthening friendly relations, economic cooperation, and regional security between the two countries. In a joint press conference following the meeting, it was highlighted that Türkiye and North Macedonia are committed to deepening their strategic partnership.
A significant part of Fidan's visit was dedicated to connecting with the Turkish community in North Macedonia. He met with prominent community leaders, businesspeople, and representatives of civil society organizations in Skopje and Tetovo. During these meetings, Fidan reiterated Türkiye’s ongoing support for the Turkish community in North Macedonia, particularly in preserving their language and culture. He also addressed the community’s issues, needs, and expectations for the future.
Fidan's visit was seen as a morale boost for the Turkish community and a key step in strengthening ties between the two countries.
