Grand Mufti's Office in Bulgaria distributes sacrifices and hot meals in Gaza
Around 180 people donated sacrifices to the Grand Mufti's campaign to help the needy in the region.
"We have started to fulfil the commitment we made to our donors who sent money for this purpose in the early days of the organisation's philanthropic initiative," the Grand Mufti's Office said in a statement.
Sacrifice slaughtering and distribution will continue throughout the month. We expect this to take place every one or two days depending on the conditions in the field. Thus, we will also prepare a hot lunch for the oppressed. Our goal is to feed approximately 2000 people with sacrificial meat every day."
The Grand Mufti's Office, through representatives of partner organisations, will continue to distribute humanitarian aid packages containing basic food products as well as hot meals and medicines.
At the end of the statement, the following statements were made: "Please note that we have stopped accepting donations for sacrifices at this time as current conditions make it difficult to find, slaughter and distribute sacrificial animals. Thank you again to all donors!"
