Investigation against Enes Kanter for sexual harassment

US author and activist Haley Byrd Wilt stated that Enes Kanter, the adopted son of FETÖ ringleader Fetullah Gülen, sexually harassed women at a meeting he attended under the name of human rights advocacy.

Enes Kanter, who came to the agenda with his statements targeting Türkiye, came up with another scandal this time.

U.S. activist writer Haley Byrd Wilt claimed that former FETÖ-affiliated basketball player Enes Kanter sexually harassed women at a meeting he attended under the guise of human rights advocacy.

Many women were harassed by Kanter
In an article published in NOTUS titled "There is a Sexual Harassment Problem in the Human Rights World", Wilt stated that many women activists were subjected to sexual harassment but kept silent in order not to damage the case. In the article in NOTUS, it was stated that this harasser was FETÖ member Enes Kanter.

Author Wilt wrote that three sources familiar with the harassment confirmed the incident and that Enes Kanter was investigated by the Human Rights Foundation, the human rights organisation that organised the Oslo Freedom Forum.

In 2022, a similar incident occurred
Hong Kong activist Chung Ching Kwon exposed a similar situation in 2022. Kwon stated that a well-known activist (a former athlete) was "preying" on young women and sending them inappropriate messages late at night. Chung Ching Kwon posted: "Can there be a #metoo movement in the human rights community? Latest example: A very famous award-winning activist (a former athlete) travelling around conferences to prey on young women. Messages sent to female attendees late at night include invitations to 'hug'. In a message sent at a different conference, a threesome is openly offered."
