YTB Turkish Awards open for applications
The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) organizes the "YTB Turkish Awards" competition program in order to discover talented young writers who are willing to produce literary works among the Turkish diaspora, sister communities and international students.
The Best Work, Essay, Story, Poetry and Children's Literature branches are included in this competition. The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) is organizing the "YTB Turkish Awards" competition in order to discover talented young writers among the Turkish diaspora, sister communities and international students.
The competition encourages our citizens living abroad, sister communities and international students to think, write and produce works of literature in Turkish. For the first time in this year's competition, applications from the Turkish diaspora, sister communities and international students will be received together.
The program includes Best Work, Essay, Short Story, Poetry and Children's Literature categories. In the competition where awards will be presented in five fields in total, selection committees consisting of competent members will be formed for the evaluations.The selection committee will score the works from the Turkish diaspora, sister communities and international students separately.
Among the evaluation criteria that the selection committee will take as basis; correct and effective use of Turkish, compliance with grammar and spelling rules, minimum compliance with the technical specifications of the category applied for, originality and style.
Awards: As a result of the competition, the applicants, separately from each group, will be awarded the first prize in the fields of Best Work, Essay, Story, Poetry, Children's Literature.The award winners will also be entitled to participate in the "International Young Writers Academy" program.

Award Ceremony: Place and time information will be announced later. Applications will be made via the application address linked below within the application periods announced by the Presidency.
Works not submitted within the application period will not be accepted to the competition.
