YTB President Eren visits Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa
President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Abdullah Eren, visited Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa as part of his official trip to Western Thrace. Eren arrived in the region to attend an iftar dinner organized by the Xanthi Mufti’s Office, accompanied by Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of National Education, Nazif Yılmaz.
Upon his arrival at the Mufti’s Office, Eren was warmly welcomed with flowers by Mufti Mustafa Trampa, religious officials, and staff members. During the visit, the two engaged in discussions regarding the current status and future prospects of the Turkish minority in Western Thrace, focusing on religious, social, and cultural matters.
Following the meeting, Abdullah Eren shared a message on social media, stating:
"We are in my ancestral land, Western Thrace! As part of our visit, we met with the President of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and the elected Mufti of Xanthi, Mustafa Trampa. In our discussions, we evaluated the current situation and the necessary developments regarding our fellow kinsmen in various areas, including religion, society, and culture."
The visit was noted as a productive discussion addressing key issues concerning the Turkish minority in the region.
